# SlotPast > SlotPast is a clipboard manager for macOS and Windows with ten clipboard slots on the number keys. Hold Command (Mac) or Ctrl (Windows), press C, then a number to save a copy into that slot. Hold the same key, press V, then the number to paste it. Everything stays on the user's computer: the app has no network code. ## The problem it solves A computer's clipboard holds one thing. Every new copy erases the one before, so people copy the same address, link or snippet again and again. SlotPast keeps ten copies at once, one per number key (1–9 and 0). ## How it works - Save: hold ⌘/Ctrl, press C, tap 1–0. Keep the modifier held the whole time. - Paste: hold ⌘/Ctrl, press V, tap the number. - Normal ⌘C / ⌘V and ⌘+number (for example, switching browser tabs) keep working. SlotPast only acts when copy or paste and a number happen in one held motion. - On Windows, if another app owns Ctrl+V+number, Ctrl+Shift+number pastes instead. ## Facts - Platforms: macOS 10.15 Catalina or later; Windows 10 and Windows 11. - Mac needs Accessibility permission. Windows needs no permission. - Holds text, links, images and files, including many files in one slot. Up to 16 MB per slot. - Slots are encrypted on disk (AES-256-GCM with a Keychain key on Mac; Windows Data Protection on Windows) and survive a restart. - Copies marked as secret by password managers are never saved. - No network code, no telemetry, no analytics, no account required. Licences are verified offline. - Can be paused with one switch. ## Pricing - Free trial: all 10 slots for 30 days, no card, no sign-up. - Free plan after the trial: 1 slot, up to 75 slot saves or pastes per day.
